ORLANDO, FL (WFLA) – An off-duty Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy was caught on cellphone video yelling at a tow truck driver and flashing her badge as he tried towing her pickup, which had been blocking a sidewalk.
NBC-affiliate WESH obtained the cellphone video and still photos of the confrontation from Universal Towing and Recovery. The towing company said the incident happened inside the Starlight Ranch Retirement Community off Pershing Avenue on Tuesday night.

In the video, Deputy Tracy Weiss, who was in plain clothes, is heard screaming at the tow truck driver.
“You’re illegally stealing my truck! I am a cop! You’re going to (expletive) jail for stealing my car,” Weiss says.
The tow truck driver claims the manager of the homeowner association had asked him to tow Weiss’ truck because, while it was parked in a driveway, it was illegally blocking a sidewalk often used by people in wheelchairs.
The driver says he was attempting to leave when Weiss came down the street in another car, driving the wrong way and blocked him in. That’s when she jumped out and confronted him, the driver says.
The sheriff’s office said Weiss has been an Orange County deputy for 11 years and they are investigating the incident.
The tow truck driver said several deputies responded to the scene and after a few hours of investigating, Weiss ended up paying him the $125 fee to get her truck back. What others are clicking on:
