DENVER, CO (WCMH) — After video caught her texting and driving with her foot on the dashboard, a driver is catching a lot of shaming on and off the internet.

“We know it goes on. It’s dangerous. It’s reckless,” Colorado State Trooper Nate Reid told KMGH.

The 47 second clip shows the woman paying little attention while driving on I-25, with her foot relaxing on the dashboard and her cellphone in her hand.

Reid says the video is a perfect example of what not to do when driving, but he also warns about getting video of someone committing an infraction.

“People get very agitated when they see cameras of any kind, especially like a cell phone camera. People get defensive and it could turn into a road rage situation.”

Reid says it’s better to call the police and let them handle the situation.
