Worthington residents rally for peace and tolerance

WORTHINGTON OH., (WCMH) — No place for hate. That was the theme of a candlelight vigil and march Sunday night in Worthington.

People met on the Village Green for live music, conversation and prayer.

Organizers said Worthington is a tolerant and loving place and that they won’t stand for hatred, racism, misogyny and bigotry.

“We’re bringing people together,” said organizer Kate Kennedy. “We’re bringing people together because we want everyone to feel welcome. We want everyone to feel accepted and we want to stand up as a community and say we won’t tolerate any kind of hateful language or hateful acts.”
