MAMMOTH, Wyoming (WCMH) — A visitor at Yellowstone National Park risked her life with a wild animal, and the whole thing was caught on video.

In a video posted to Facebook on Sunday, a woman walks right up to a bison and pets the animal. Her companion is seen several yards away watching and possibly recording the encounter.

On its website, Yellowstone National Park says bison can run three times faster than humans, and requires visitors to stay at least 25 feet away from large animals.

Yellowstone says visitors are gored by bison every year, and that sometimes proves fatal.
