COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A 6-year-old boy was rescued from an apartment complex pond Tuesday night.
It’s happened in the area of Mallard’s Landing Drive in Columbus.
Firefighters were sent to the area around 9:30pm on a report of a child in the water, possibly drowning.
A 6-year-old boy was pulled out of the water, according to firefighters. The boy was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
He was not breathing when divers pulled him out of the water, according to firefighters.
Divers continued to search the pond for a second person after reports that a second child could not be located.
