Hundreds of spectators came out to Muirfield Golf Course to catch a glimpse of four-time PGA and three-time U.S. Open champion Eldric “Tiger” Woods.

For some young golf fans, this was their first time seeing the golf star up close.

“It’s pretty crazy how big of a crowd follows him and the atmosphere is crazy compared to when he is not here,” said Justin Gingery. “He is just better for golf, I think.”

Massive crowds followed the pro around the course, filling the backside hill and cheering him on when he would sink a ball in.

For Randall and Kay Norris, seeing Woods is nostalgic.

“It’s good to see him come back,” Randall Norris said.

Watching Woods brings back fond memories for the couple from the last time he played in the Memorial.

“It’s really good to see someone have the opportunity to come back as he has been experiencing some physical challenges,” Kay Norris said. “To see him back and pla as he has been so far in the tournament is exciting.”

Woods has won the Memorial Tournament five times, with his last win in 2012.
