COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The brother of an NBA All-Star has committed to play for the Ohio State basketball team next season.

Guard Myles Herro, the brother of Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro, announced on his social media Monday that he has committed to play for the Buckeyes next season. Playing at Whitnall in Milwaukee, Myles Herro (6’3″) is a three-star recruit and considered the 86th best prospect in the nation in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports.

Myles Herro is one of three commits to the Buckeyes’ roster from the 2025 class alongside Dorian Jones and A’mare Bynum.

His older brother Tyler reposted on Instagram his brother’s commitment post as congratulations. Tyler, 25, was drafted by the Miami Heat out of Kentucky in 2019. During his time with the Heat, Herro has been named an NBA All-Star, the league’s sixth man of the year, and played in the 2023 NBA Finals. He is also the reigning three-point contest champion.

Head coach Jake Diebler will enter his second full season as the Buckeyes head coach for 2025-26. Ohio State just missed the NCAA Tournament last season after falling in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Buckeyes were among the first four teams to miss the tournament.
