COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio State’s Big Ten opener at Michigan State that will be broadcast Saturday on Peacock has a new kickoff time.
An Ohio State spokesperson confirmed the evening contest will now start at 7:30 p.m., a 30-minute push from the originally announced 7 p.m. kickoff time. The Peacock-exclusive game in East Lansing will be the Buckeyes first of nine conference regular season games.
This is just the second time an Ohio State game will be broadcast exclusively by a streaming service with the first being the Buckeyes win last year over Purdue, which was also on Peacock.
The Buckeyes are fresh off a 49-14 win over Marshall in Week 4 to conclude non-conference regular season play. Michigan State enters the game with a 3-1 record after taking its first loss last Saturday 23-19 at Boston College.
After the Spartans’ home contest against the Buckeyes, they will travel to face Oregon in a Friday night matchup. Ohio State will return home for Week 6 when they take on Iowa at 3:30 p.m.
