COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio State’s women’s basketball team has reached its highest ranking of the season thus far with a four-place jump going into February.

The Buckeyes (19-1, 8-1) hopped to No. 8 in the latest Associated Press poll after last week’s Big Ten wins over former No. 8 Maryland on Thursday and over Nebraska on Sunday. OSU has yet to lose to a ranked team this season and are among five teams in the country with one loss or no losses (No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 South Carolina, No. 4 USC, and No. 7 LSU).

Thursday’s victory over Maryland sent the Terps down to No. 14 and make the Buckeyes the third highest-ranked Big Ten team in the country.
