COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The regular season in women’s college basketball concludes this week and the Ohio State Buckeyes remain as one of the best teams in the nation.

The Buckeyes (24-3, 15-1) kept its No. 2 ranking in the Associated Press poll heading into March and postseason play. Ohio State extended its winning streak to 14 games with double digit victories over Penn State and Maryland last week.

Those two wins gave Ohio State at least a share of the regular season Big Ten title and clinched the No. 1 seed in next week’s conference tournament in Minneapolis. As the top seed, Ohio State secures a quarterfinal spot and will play that game on Mar. 8 at 12:30 p.m. The Buckeyes have not won the Big Ten tournament since 2018.

To close out the regular season, the Buckeyes will host archrivals Michigan on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Ohio State’s last loss was against the Wolverines on Dec. 30 in Ann Arbor. The Buckeyes’ final regular season game will be a showdown at No. 6 Iowa on Sunday at 1 p.m. One win for OSU will clinch the outright regular season Big Ten title.
