PISCATAWAY, NJ (WCMH) — The Ohio State men’s basketball team dominated in the second half to beat Rutgers, 73-51, in the final game of the regular season for both teams.

The Buckeyes (19-12, 9-11 Big Ten) never trailed but only held a two-point lead at the half before outscoring the Scarlet Knights, 43-23, in the final 20 minutes of the game. Four different players scored in double figures for OSU, led by Roddy Gayle, Jr. who scored 14 points.

The win marks Ohio State’s fourth in a row and fifth in the last six games since Jake Diebler took over as interim head coach. OSU has now won back-to-back games on the road after losing 17 straight road games.

The Buckeyes now turn their attention to the Big Ten tournament in Minneapolis this week. They’ll learn their fate when the bracket is finalized later on Sunday.
