COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Ohio State University’s Taylor Thierry became the 20th woman to be drafted into the WNBA when she was picked Monday by the Atlanta Dream.
Thierry, a senior guard/forward, was picked 37th overall as the Dream’s second pick of the draft.
According to Ohio State, Thierry finished her career as a Buckeye in the top 30 in program history in a number of categories — fifth in field goal percentage (.597), 10th in steals with 234, 15th in rebounds with 675, and 23rd in scoring with 1,270 career points
Thierry scored her 1,000 career point on Nov. 28, 2024, becoming the 39th woman in the school’s history to hit the benchmark. She led the Big Ten in steals per game this season, finishing the season with a career-high 77.
