COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse record book has a new name in it, and it belongs to a central Ohio player and local high school alum.
Grace Osborn, a midfielder from Capital University, had nine goals and four assists Sunday to help the Comets roll to a 21-5 win over Berry.
Osborn became the Division III all-time leading scorer with her sixth goal of the first half. The point gave her 510 points, eclipsing the record set in 2019 by New England College’s Tara Bainbridge.
She is also the first player in history to score more than 400 career goals (403) and sits with 516 points just two games into her senior season. Osborn added to her record-breaking collection, which includes goals in a season (148 last season), and single-game point total (19 against Baldwin-Wallace in May 2024).

In addition, Osborn, who has led the Ohio Athletic Conference in goals scored in each of her first three seasons, leads Capital in career points, draw controls (421), single-game goal scorer (14), points in a season (195) and draw controls in a season (158).
The Pickerington Central graduate also set a season scoring record with the Tigers when she scored 107 goals her senior season in 2021.
