COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A central Ohio high school hockey coach and two assistants have resigned after allegations of misconduct.
Olentangy Liberty High School confirmed that Kevin Alexander, the coach of the boys hockey team, turned in his resignation on Feb. 28. Two former assistant coaches resigned as well during an investigation into all three coaches’ behavior.
The school district said they received reports that Alexander and the assistants used “inappropriate language with student athletes and behaved in a manner inconsistent with their duty to serve as role models.”
The Patriots became the first central Ohio school to win the state ice hockey championship in 2023, beating University School 6-2 at Nationwide Arena.
