Fury end three-match losing streak with win over league leaders Vibe

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Columbus Fury got a much-needed victory, snapping a three-match losing streak with a four-set win over the Atlanta Vibe (25-22, 27-29, 25-21, 25-23) on Sunday afternoon at Nationwide Arena.

Trailing by one in the fourth set, the Fury’s Asjia O’Neal leveled the set with a kill and Megan Courtney Lush used a pair of blocks to secure the win for Columbus and hand Atlanta its first loss in six matches.


O’Neal recorded 17 kills on 27 swings and added a block and an ace. Reagan Cooper led all hitters with 22 kills to go along with 15 digs.

The Fury will meet Atlanta again on the road on Wednesday night with first serve set for 7 p.m. at Gas South Arena.
