ORLANDO, Fla. (WCMH) — Columbus survived a back-and-forth battle on the road against Orlando, winning in five sets (25-17, 21-25, 30-28, 25-21, 17-15) to capture its fourth consecutive victory, the longest active streak in the league.

Megan Courtney Lush provided the final kill with a hit to the back of the court, catching the Valkyries’ baseline to end a long rally and win the match. Reagan Cooper led the Fury’s attack with 29 kills while Rainelle Jones added 12 to go with five blocks.

Sunday marked the first five-set match for Columbus in this inaugural season of the Pro Volleyball Federation. The Fury improve to 4-2 while the Valkyries fall to 4-5.

Columbus stays on the road and will return to action on Saturday to face the Grand Rapids Rise in a rematch of the opening match for both teams. The Rise won the last meeting in straight sets.
