COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — He’s back on NBC4.

NBC Sports announced Monday that Michael Jordan will be joining the network’s NBA broadcast team when television rights return to the network this fall. Jordan will serve as a “special contributor” for telecasts on NBC4.

After more than two decades away from the network, the NBA returns to NBC at the beginning of the 2025-26 season. From 1990 to 2002, Jordan and the iconic Chicago Bulls teams won all six of their NBA championships when NBC Sports broadcast every NBA Finals during that timespan.

Fast forward nearly 30 years later since his last NBA title, Jordan will now join a growing team of broadcast talent for the rebirth of the NBA on NBC. Among other former players set to join NBC as analysts include Jamal Crawford, Reggie Miller, and Carmelo Anthony. Mike Tirico will serve as the lead play-by-play announcer with Noah Eagle as the number two broadcaster.

Jordan’s return to NBC won’t be the only nostalgia inducing element of broadcasts. The network recently re-acquired the rights to the famed “Roundball Rock” theme song written by John Tesh.

NBC4 will broadcast numerous regular season games next season as well as the opening night doubleheader, the 2026 NBA All-Star Game from the Intuit Dome near Los Angeles, and dozens of playoff games. The new media deal with the NBA gives NBC media rights for the next 11 years.
