CINCINNATI, Ohio (WCMH) – The home of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, located east of the city, was reportedly broken into during the Monday Night Football game.

According to reports from WLWT in Cincinnati, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Joe Burrow’s home in Anderson Township was broken into during the Monday Night Football game between the Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys.

Burrow and the Bengals were in Dallas for the game, but a 911 caller told police that a woman was in the home during the alleged break-in.

“Someone is trying to break into the house right now. My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game,” the caller said. “She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should go outside. She said someone was in the house.”

The woman’s daughter also called 911 and was heard talking to a man who was identified as a security guard at the home.

According to reports, radio traffic from that night indicates there was an officer on detail at Burrow’s house Monday night and that there was a shattered window to the bedroom, which was allegedly ransacked.

The Associated Press reported last month that the NFL issued a security alert to the players’ union following a string of burglaries, including those involving the homes of Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce.

The NFL memo said the homes of professional athletes across multiple sports have become “increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups.”

No one was reportedly injured during the incident.
