Walnut Ridge athlete Malik Harrison picks Ohio State

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Walnut Ridge athlete Malik Harrison welcomed in a large crowd Wednesday morning as the high school gym flowed with excitement and curiosity. But Harrison’s decision on where to play college football seemed like a no-brainer.

It was.

Harrison announced he’ll accept a scholarship at Ohio State, becoming the 25th player to sign with the Buckeyes during a rather drama-free National Signing Day.

OSU’s only mild surprise of the day came from 6’8″ Nassau Community College OT Malcolm Pridgeon, who announced he will play at OSU. He’s a 4-star rated junior college lineman who was also considering Baylor. It’s a rare junior college signing by Ohio State.

Some other highlights of OSU’s class:

Seven players in the class have already enrolled at OSU, including 5-star rated Gahanna defensive end Jonathon Cooper.
