Columbus City Schools had already committed to being carbon-free by 2050 and having 100% clean energy by 2035, but this week, the Columbus Board of Education passed a policy that set benchmarks to help the district reach those goals while being cost-effective.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed a bill into law Friday afternoon that changes state rules on mail-in voting and voter registration. He also signed bills related to tax reform and Avery’s Law, which increases penalties for the owners of dogs who kill or seriously injure people.
