PHILLIPSBURG, OH (WCMH)–Cody Jones was near the Phillipsburg tornado as it was touching down, and shot the amazing video above.
Monday turned out to be an active day in Ohio for March.
An area of low pressure tracked through the state and spun up almost a half dozen tornadoes just after 2pm.
The National Weather Service out of Wilmington deployed their Storm Survey team to the site of the damage in Darke, Miami, and Montgomery counties. It was on Tuesday that they determined that there were in fact 5 tornadoes. Three were classified as EF-1 storms, and two as EF-0 storms.
