Columbus (WCMH) – A very chilly start this morning as temps dipped to their coldest readings since May 16th when the low dipped to freezing. For the record, the temps here in Columbus fell to 41, which is only 6 below normal, and still a dozen above normal.
Since official temperature gauges are not set on the ground, or on top of a car or other metal surfaces, it is possible to see frost when temps dip as low as they did last night, even though many thermometers didn’t see 32 degrees.Here are some of the coldest readings recorded this morning in our area:
