High pressure is providing a cool northeasterly flow through the holiday weekend, with temperatures only reaching the mid-60s, about 10 degrees below normal.
Clouds became prominent this afternoon with an upper-level disturbance that encountered dry air, resulting in only an isolated sprinkle, with an area of light rain passing south of the Cincinnati area.
Some clearing will occur later tonight, with morning readings in the upper 40s. Sunshine returns on Memorial Day for all of your outdoor activities, as temperatures warm up to the low 70s.
A southern storm will push moisture north from the Gulf Tuesday. Rain showers will become widespread through midday Wednesday, with a few lingering showers in the afternoon. Clouds will keep temperatures on the cool side through midweek, mostly in the 60s.
The weather will start off fairly cloudy for the Memorial Tournament Thursday but overall drier conditions will prevail. A weak front could spark a few showers Friday and early Saturday. Afternoon temperatures will gradually return to seasonal levels next weekend, reaching the mid-70s.
