FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Friday morning!
It is a drier and clearer start to the day, but a much cooler one. Temperatures are starting off below 50 degrees, but we are going to see warmer days as we head closer to Memorial Day.
A low pressure center, still over the Great Lakes, is gradually moving away from Central Ohio. We’re looking a lot drier today with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. However, there is the isolated chance for some light rain or isolated drizzle towards the afternoon and evening. Some of us will manage to stay soundly dry today.
The dry weather finally settles in completely for Saturday. Skies open up a lot more to give us some more sunshine. Temperatures are warming into the mid to upper 60s, but it will still be roughly 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
The Memorial Day weekend stretch continues to get warmer. Sunday is slightly warmer than the start of the weekend with a few more clouds mixing in with some sunshine. Memorial Day pushes into the 70s, but clouds are a lot steadier in the sky. There is a very late chance for some showers working back in.
For the final stretch of May, another batch of rain builds in for Tuesday and lingers with some lighter chances through Thursday. Thankfully, we don’t see another cooldown come with this wet weather. Temperatures are still slowly warming through the lower 70s into the end of next week.
