FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Thursday Evening,

It has been a very chilly day today, with highs only in the upper 50s making this one of the coldest afternoons on May 22nd in Columbus. Tonight the large upper low that continues to churn over our area will slowly shift east. As it does so, the showers will cut off, and winds will relax a bit, with temps falling into the lower 40s to upper 30s with some clearing.

Friday will see a mix of clouds and sun, and highs still well below normal in the lower 60s. We will have temps warming into the middle to upper 60s on Saturday with mostly sunny skies expected. We will be between systems on Sunday, with sunshine and clouds and highs in the upper 60s to near 70. It will be closer to 70 on Monday with clouds increasing, and a few showers in the south.

Showers will increase Monday night into Tuesday. Tuesday looks to be quite wet again, but milder with temps still near 70. Showers will continue into Wednesday, with lesser coverage, and highs in the lower 70s. The low will move far enough to the east on Thursday with highs back in the lower 70s with just a few isolated showers possible.
