FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Thursday morning!

Fog is more widespread and denser across Central Ohio this morning. Once we break up the lower visibility, the rest of today will work towards more seasonable weather for late May.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for areas to our east until 10 AM. Visibility has dropped below a mile for the southeastern half of the area, including Columbus. Fog will begin to lift as we head into the mid morning hours.

Skies remain mostly cloudy today. Temperatures are on their way to near seasonable numbers as we land in the mid 70s. Towards the afternoon, there is the spottiest chance of a couple showers and one or two storms popping up.

Better chances for rain begin to build up tonight and into Friday. Scattered showers are steadier for the first half of Friday, but remain on and off later in the day. Temperatures take a slip to the upper 60s to end the work week.

After an early morning chance for rain on Saturday, the rest of the weekend will look better. We’re getting a lot sunnier in time for Sunday. Temperatures are back in the lower 70s for both days of the weekend.

Heading into next week and the beginning of June, we’ll see a very solid warming trend. Temperatures are touching 80 degrees for the first time in roughly 2 weeks next Monday. We’re building through the mid 80s into next Wednesday. Skies remain sunny with a few more clouds by the middle of next week.
