Rain, cooler, clearing for weekend, warmer next week

Central Ohio Weather and Radar

A storm system moving east across West Virginia to the Mid-Atlantic region brought a soaking rain, heaviest in the southern part of the state. Temperatures held in the upper 50s to low 60s due to the damp conditions.

A cold front will move through tonight, accompanied by a few showers that will end early Saturday. High pressure will work in through the weekend, providing dry weather and a cool northwesterly flow of air. Temperatures will edge into the low 70s with developing sunshine.

A warm front will lift north across the state on Monday, as winds turn southerly, bringing summer-like conditions to start the week. A stray shower is possible later in the day over the western half of the state. Temperatures will rise into the 80s through Wednesday, before a cold front pushes in from the west with showers later in the week.
