FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Monday morning!

A warming trend is beginning to kick in as we go through the first few days of June. Today, temperatures will end up right where they should be. But, we’ll see some much warmer weather as the week goes on.

Plenty of sunshine and light winds will remain steady for Monday. The thermometer will be climbing to the upper 70s by the end of today. Typically at this point in the year, we’re sitting just shy of 80 degrees. So, numbers will try to be more seasonable for the start of the week.

Canadian wildfires are still producing a lot of smoke that has started to find its way into the States. We’ll see a moderate level of surface smoke develop into Central Ohio by the end of today, potentially lower air quality.

As the first week of June goes on, the temperatures will really be ramping up. We’re sitting in the mid 80s for Tuesday, still with plenty of sunshine. Numbers climb as high as the upper 80s, touching 90 in some places, for Wednesday. Clouds build throughout the day as our next rain chance approaches.

Our next round of wet weather arrives overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Rain and storm chances are steadiest for Thursday and Friday. A scattered chance remains on Saturday with temperatures only cooling to the upper 70s.

Sunshine begins to work back in on Sunday, still with a mixture of clouds. Temperatures are beginning to work back towards warmer numbers. We’ll push back to 80 to end off the weekend.
