FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Wednesday Evening,
Today was the warmest day of the year so far, and almost the exact same temperature for the date that we have had the last two years (87° 6/4/24 & 6/4/23). We are watching as a slow moving cold front will approach our area that will bring up rain showers and storms the next few days. While a few isolated storms could produce some gusty winds, the bigger threat the next couple of days will be for heavy rainfall.
This is due to the fact that we will have several rounds of rain slowly training over the same area. The fact that this boundary will take a few days to move to the east-southeast of our area, we will have a slight dip in temperatures, to bring us back closer to normal in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Saturday will see the boundary starting to pull away. This will keep lower chances of showers in the forecast for Saturday, with highs in the upper 70s.
Sunday we should get between systems with partly sunny skies, and highs in the upper 70s again. Another round of rain will move back into the area for Monday and Tuesday with highs remaining pretty close to normal in the upper to middle 70s. We will see this system move off by mid-week, with seasonal air to follow with partly cloudy skies and highs near 80 on Wednesday.
