Time is running out to see the leaf colors

Columbus (WCMH) – We are into the start of November and we are still talking about leaf peepin opportunities.   But they are going to be gone very very soon.To the north, there are still chances to see the leaves:

In Central Ohio, things are starting to past peak in spots, and others are not far behind:

It seems the closer you are to the I-70 corridor, the closer to peak you are right now:

In the south we are peaking all over the place, it will be an excellent time for photo taking:

The best bet for peak leaf peepin spots this weekend will be in the south:

We are well past the normal period for peak leaf peepin across the state, you can thank Mother Nature for the extra time:

There are good apps out there (not associated with NBC 4) like Leaf Peepr (Apple & Android), where you can find real time reports from users on leaf color changes.  From this app, you can also report and post pictures as well.  As with any user submitted apps, there may be some inconsistency, but it can be fun.

If you have any questions about fall colors, or any other weather questions, send me an email: dmazza@wcmh.com

Also, I enjoy seeing and sharing all the beautiful fall pictures.   If you have our Storm Team 4 Weather App, you can share pictures via the app.  Also you can email them to me, or share them on my Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DavidNBC4) or Twitter (@davidnbc4) accounts… don’t forget to use the hashtag #cbusweathernerd
