CALDWELL, Ohio (WCMH) — A person is under arrest after allegedly making violent threats against a Noble County high school’s homecoming dance.

According to a social media post by the Noble County Sheriff’s Office, it received information about an armed person making violent threats against the dance at Caldwell High School, which was held Saturday night.

Noble County’s sheriff and all on- and off-duty deputies responded to the school, with a mutual-aid request made to all available law enforcement to respond as well.

At the school, students and staff were escorted from the building to their vehicles. Everyone was cleared from the scene safely, the sheriff’s office posted.

The sheriff’s office identified a person of interest, who was taken into custody. The suspect’s identity or the charges they are facing were not released.
