DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) — The owner of a Japanese-style karaoke bar in Cincinnati has expanded with a central Ohio resort-themed cocktail bar.
Palm Valley Cocktails is now welcoming patrons at 6770 Riverside Drive in Dublin’s Bridge Park after hosting a grand opening celebration on May 2. Operated by Gorilla Cinema Presents, the owner of Cincinnati’s Tokyo Kitty, the bar was announced last fall and was previously named “Sand Valley Cocktail Club.” Watch a previous NBC4 report on the announcement in the video player above.
“Something we pride ourselves on at Gorilla Cinema is delivering world-class experiences in an approachable manner, and that’s why we’re so excited to bring this concept to the Bridge Park audience,” said Jacob Trevino, CEO of Gorilla Cinema, in an October release.

While previous plans called for the lounge to sport a 1960s golf club aesthetic tailored with the Dublin community’s history of golf in mind, Palm Valley is now “inspired by the desert resort getaways of the Mid-century.”
“We sincerely hope this is somewhere where everyone feels welcome. It was built to transport you to a world now frozen in time, but was also created to be a place to make new memories,” Palm Valley’s site states. “From the bottom of our hearts, we’re excited to welcome you to your new favorite spot.”
Palm Valley’s menu features a selection of “retro-modern cocktails,” like the Desert Crab Mai-Tai, Miss Atomic Bomb and Cantaloupe Highball. Non-alcoholic options and small bites round out the offerings, including French onion dep, spicy pimento cheese, mixed nuts, palm popcorn, lemon cake, and a caviar bump.
Gorilla Cinema is “built for those who seek magic” and a “passion for film, music and pop culture.” The brand also operates Cincinnati’s Lonely Pine Steakhouse, a restaurant inspired by roadside stops along Route 66, and The Overlook Lodge, an acres ski bar inspired by “The Shining.”
Palm Valley is open 5 p.m. to midnight Monday through Wednesday, 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 3 p.m. to midnight Sunday.
