CLEVELAND, OH (WCMH) — It only took 28 seconds for excited Cavs fans to snatch up all the tickets to Sunday’s NBA Finals Game 7 Watch Party at Quicken Loans Arena.
And it only took an hour for those same tickets to start showing up online at 40 times their face value.
The tickets went on sale at 10:00am for a $5.00 admission donation. The Cleveland Cavaliers said 100% of the proceeds would benefit local charitable organizations.
Sports Nation Ohio reports the tickets sold out in just 28 seconds.
By 11:00am, fans who purchased the tickets at the $5 face value were already trying to resell them on sites like Craigslist and eBay. Several ads have the tickets going for $100 each, while multiple listings on eBay have the prices as high as $200 a ticket.
Remember, the original $5 was a charitable donation.
For those who did get tickets, doors will open at 6:30pm Sunday night, which is 90 minutes prior to tip-off. If the Cavs win Game 7, they’ll be the first team in NBA History to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the title. What others are clicking on:
