LAS VEGAS (WCMH) — For the first time, the Columbus Fury have a winning streak.
Central Ohio’s new professional volleyball team got its second consecutive win as they defeated the Vegas Thrill in straight sets 26-24, 25-23, and 25-20. It is the Fury’s first road win this season and follows its opening home win on Wednesday over the Omaha Supernovas.
The Fury was once again led by Reagan Cooper and Megan Courtney Lush who combined for 25 kills in the three-set victory on Saturday night. Columbus also had nine aces in the victory with three from Ivania Ortiz DeJesus and two each from Cooper and Kaitlyn Hord.
At 2-2, the Fury are now in fifth place just on the outside of the coveted top-four, who will make the playoffs at the end of the season in May. Columbus will host Vegas on Monday at Nationwide Arena for a 7 p.m. first serve.
